Its official I’ve got it. The signs are all there, I am a kid hearted, cartoon watching and mouse loving fiend. I breakout into versus of “Imagination Movers” numerous times a day. I usually get things done in three special steps and my daughter isn’t the only one with mouse ears and that’s all I’m saying about that. Needless to say, I have officially been pronounced a Disney Fan.
So I am totally excited about the launch of Disney Junior on February 14. Playhouse Disney is actually becoming Disney Junior an entertainment destination devoted to kids ages 2-7 and their families. One of the other reasons why I am so looking forward to the premiere of Disney Junior is that my daughter not only enjoys the shows and I am talking laugh out loud, jumping, dancing and role playing but she is learning so much while watching.
My daughter is only one year old but her vocabulary, math and interest in learning has benefited from the shows. You can imagine my surprise when I recently said to my daughter it’s time to go and she immediately said 5-4-3-2-1. I will say that is compliments of my friend Special Agent Oso. She’s obsessed with her Minnie Mouse dress and wants to wear it to every party. She loves holding her identical Minnie Mouse stuffed animal while watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. And yes, she randomly yells out Oh, Toodles!
We’re also looking forward to the new programming that will be on Disney Junior including the new animated series “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” which will follow the adventures of classic characters Captain Hook and Smee. I am very interested in healthy living and excited that Disney is to. The shows “Mickey Mousekersize” and “Special Agent Oso: Three Healthy Steps” will encourage healthy lifestyles for preschoolers and families.
With all of the excitement over the new shows premiering on Disney Junior they haven’t forgot about the hit shows that were originally apart of Playhouse Disney like “Handy Manny” and the “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse”. There will also be new episodes on shows like “Imagination Movers”.
Be sure to check out Disney Junior! Just watch out you may find that not only your child gets hooked but you could come down with a case of Disney Fan-itis too!
