Nationally syndicated radio and TV personality Jacque Reid went “Inside Her Story” with Angela B. Logan on the Tom Joyner Morning Show. The TJMS segment about Pregnancy and African-American women sheds light on the maternal health crisis in the U.S.. The Tom Joyner Show is the number one syndicated urban morning radio show in America airing in 100 markets around the country. The listener response to Angela’s story on the TJMS was tremendous. Women and men around the country shared their own stories, concern and outrage over the rising number of near misses and deaths in the U.S. during pregnancy and child birth. Many were surprised to learn that African American women are four times
more likely to die of pregnancy related complications than White women. Angela’s story has been made into the feature film “Breathe” starring Robin Givens, Elise Neal, Samson Logan, Jazsmin Lewis, Steven Williams, Clyde R. Jones, Angelea Preston and Miguel Nunez. Angela B. Logan the founder of www.ladiesliveandlearn.com and her husband Samson Logan executive produced and produced the project and partnered with Bethesda Films to get the moving drama made.
